That moment when you figure out that two of your students have told you a very serious, very elaborate lie. And they think they’ve gotten away with it, so they’ve been secretly smiling at each other all day. And you’re literally counting the MILLIseconds until you get to bust them.

Essentially one of the teaching assistants took away their candy, and the kids were mad so they made up a whole elaborate lie about how this adult “forcefully grabbed” them by the arm and neck. Unfortunately they did not coordinate their lies well enough, and that became obvious during their separate interrogations. A third party then further confirmed they made it up.
